Position Summary: The Human Resources Assistant handles daily administrative and other HR duties for the organization. This role will assist the HR team with regulatory records maintenance, support documentation requirements for payroll processing, and provide any other clerical support needed. Essential Duties: Maintains employee information by entering/updating employment data Completes electronic I-9 verification and other new-hire transactions Assists with employee benefits enrollment and hosts employee benefit plan consultations Performs background checks and/or reference checks on all prospective hires Maintains personnel records in accordance with current laws and regulations Processes required paperwork for employee terminations, which includes performing exit interviews Verifies/contests unemployment claims and submits information requests timely Manages the professional appearance of employee communication devices (bulletin boards, intranet, etc.) Responds to routine employment verification inquiries (both internal and external) Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping Human Resource information confidential Provides additional support to all members of the HR team as needed Develops annual employee events calendar and supports ensuring the success of each activity Maintains quality service by adhering to organizational standards Provides administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information Qualifications: High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality Above average verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills and an ability to work effectively within all levels of the organization Possesses a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Highly computer-literate with MS Office, email, and HR software experience Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks General knowledge of employment laws and practices Full understanding of HR functions and best practices Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum Experience Requirements: 2 years' Human Resources experience Job Type: Full-time Experience: Human Resources: 2 years (Required) Education: Bachelor's (Required) Work authorization: United States (Required) Work Location: One location Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Schedule: Monday to Friday Day shift
