Position Overview Under the general direction of the FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR OR AREA MANAGER, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the FOOD SERVICE ATTENDANT is responsible for: performing a variety of tasks related to patient food service and/or tray maintenance; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience No experience required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade X. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Manual skill. Demonstrated good personal cleanliness. Physical Requirements Ability to walk/stand throughout the shift. Ability to withstand heat and steam. Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects. This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, an Adult Abuse Registry Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
