Who can guide the other how they can proceed in VAPT process using different Security frameworks like OWASP, PCI, SANS, EC-COUNCIL, etc. Responsibilities and Duties Duties and Responsibilities: Technical execution and the quality of the deliverables for the engagements Promote the development of the team by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge. Perform formal penetration tests on web-based applications, networks and computer systems Conduct physical security assessments of servers, systems and network devices Design and create new penetration tools and tests Probe for vulnerabilities in web applications, fat/thin client applications and standard applications Pinpoint methods that attackers could use to exploit weaknesses and logic flaws Employ social engineering to uncover security holes (e.g. poor user security practices or password policies) Incorporate business considerations (e.g. loss of earnings due to downtime, cost of engagement, etc.) into security strategies Research, document and discuss security findings with management and IT teams Review and define requirements for information security solutions Work on improvements for security services, including the continuous enhancement of existing methodology material and supporting assets Provide feedback and verification as an organization fixes security issues Skills: Web Application Security Assessment – In-depth knowledge of web application attacks and defense strategies (SQL injection, XSS cross-site scripting, CSRF, logic flaws, etc) and Thick client applications, mobile applications (VAS), ERP applications (SAP, etc) Experience in Internal & External Penetration Testing on Network Infrastructure (including Servers, firewalls, Routers, switches, etc) including conducting wireless security assessment Should have a good understanding of application level attacks with hands on experience in discovering and exploiting issues with/without the assistance of tools. Security Focused Code Review of Applications (at least one of the following languages C, C++, Java,. NET) Experience with network penetration testing tools such as nessus, nmap, core impact, metasploit, and similar Experience in conducting Cybersecurity Maturity Assessments / Cyber Program Assessments Experience with analyzing Router, Switches, Firewall rule base focused on security. Experience on Virtualization technologies (VMware), SAP network security. Telecom network security, VOIP, Cloud security (AWS, Azure), IOT Experience in Security Architecture Review Understanding of application security guidelines/requirements from OWASP, PCI/DSS, etc Proficiency with understanding and writing/modifying exploits. Security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001/27002, NIST, HIPPA, SOX, etc.) Security tools and products (Fortify, AppScan, etc.) Vulnerability analysis and reverse engineering Metasploit framework Forensics tools Cryptography principles Key Skills Cybersecurity, Security Analysis Required Experience and Qualifications Experience: Should have minimum 3 yrs of information security experience (client serving candidates preferred) in conducting application/network security assessments – We are looking for candidates across all experiences, Candidates with relevant experience and skill set will be treated accordingly.
