Job summary: The Red Hat Enterprise Data and Analytics team is looking for a Data Quality Control Analyst to join us in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you will measure the quality of enterprise data assets based on standards set by the Enterprise Data Asset Certification Program. You will work with the processes, procedures, and guidelines necessary to ensure that high value products are developed, supported and delivered by the Enterprise Data and Analytics team. Primary job responsibilities: Work with the appropriate data asset owner to resolve data errors and deficiencies that are found during testing Identify areas for data quality improvement and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies Ensure data quality dimension definition, baseline, and measures are compliant with the Data Quality Program and data asset documentation Raising data quality and performance levels at Red Hat through creating and improving quality assurance (QA) testing procedures to comply with Red Hat’s Enterprise Data Asset Certification Program Testing the business’s enterprise data assets to ensure compliance with the Enterprise Data Asset Certification Program; reporting results of tests to business owners and recommending data quality strategies to improve future scores Define and implement quality control standards within a quality management plan; develop templates for quality control testing Participate in developing the data quality control strategy and integration with the Data Quality Program and Enterprise Data Asset Certification Program Resolve data quality problems including interacting with business users to resolve data quality problems using techniques such as root cause analysis as well as collecting user requirements Required skills: Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time, prioritize, and coordinate tasks to meet multiple deadlines Ability to identify sets and subsets of information across multiple unions of tables Experience with relational databases, 5+ years experience in SQL, statistical packages (R, Python, or equivalent), and analysis techniques Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent Have passion for data integrity, ability to investigate the source of bugs and errors Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and carry out detailed activities Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels and functions within an organization Experience managing projects from start to finish Flexible and resilient, able to adapt in a fast-paced environment Solid verbal and written communication skills, project and time management skills, and ability to work in teams Good working knowledge of QA, testing methodologies, and best practices Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
