The Position Reporting to the President, International, and based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, the Real Estate Development Manager will provide business and analytical support to the management team through various ongoing responsibilities and ad hoc projects. What you will focus on: Professionally represent Taymax’s interest at all meetings with brokers, legal counsel, general contractors and consultants - Continue to build a multi- year, multi-site pipeline and serve as gatekeeper for flow of active and new/ prospective sites in development pipeline across Taymax’s Canadian markets Create market research work product for Taymax’s ever-growing pipeline of prospective future locations (e.g. author Board-level presentation materials including but not limited to local market research, competitive due diligence, etc.) Analyze prospective locations utilizing Taymax’s proprietary set of site selection criterion and financial models Assess market-specific competitive dynamics Assist with special projects related to multiple Planet Fitness openings per year in Canada Assist with LOI negotiations and administration Prepare and present weekly status updates on project schedule, costs and cost projections Drive both internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines as required per the project delivery schedule What we are looking for: Strong oral and written communication skills, with an ability to synthesize and present data clearly Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and work efficiently against tight deadlines Ability to be self-motivated and follow processes to completion Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent PowerPoint and Excel proficiency Strategic thinker with ability to translate business need into thoughtful proposals Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners in Construction, Operations and Marketing Ability to travel up to 35% of the time (market visits, site tours, head office meetings) Proactive, problem solver with a “can do” attitude Qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate or a related field Less experience considered for the right candidate What We Offer Competitive salary Lucrative annual bonus Opportunities for professional career development/growth Flexible hours Free Planet Fitness Black Card gym membership
