As we prepare for the retirement of our long-serving Executive Vice President and Chief Exploration Officer, we are seeking an exceptional geologist and exploration leader to drive the next phase of discovery, growth, and value creation. This is a rare opportunity to join our Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO, to lead an expanding global exploration portfolio of both Brownfields and Greenfields projects focussed on our operating centres in the United States, New Zealand and the Philippines. An Established High-Performance Team You will inspire and further develop an established, diverse and highly regarded in-house team of technical professionals, including 84 geologists, with an enviable Brownfields discovery record and ounce delivery, replacing over 5 million ounces of Reserves at low cost over the past decade. A Diversity of Geology and Operating Environments With a focus on the highly prospective gold belts of North America, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, the OceanaGold exploration team are drilling over 100,000 metres per annum, advancing high-grade, low-sulphidation Au-Ag epithermal, high-grade porphyry Cu-Au, and orogenic Au targets. The diversity in geology, deposit styles and operating environments has proved rewarding and will both challenge and draw on the significant experience and knowledge of the incoming Chief Exploration Officer. A High-Quality Portfolio You will embrace, lead and expand on a successful, high-quality portfolio, of international Brownfields and Greenfields projects, including four operating mines, backed by a well-defined growth strategy. With an established and highly prospective land package and pipeline of opportunities from target generation to development, you will be immediately exposed to multiple discovery and growth opportunities, including our flagship high-grade Wharekirauponga deposit in New Zealand and several other projects with exceptional drill results in the USA and the Philippines. A Platform for Strategic Growth You will also have significant opportunity to contribute to the future success of OceanaGold through your thought leadership in the area of exploration and geology specifically and mining more generally, as a key member of the OceanaGold Growth Committee, and as the Chair of the Reserves and Resources Steering Committee. By drawing on your considerable cross functional experience, you will maximize your ability to achieve the Company’s growth ambitions across the value chain and development spectrum.
