Department: Finance & Accounting Reports to: CFO Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Richmond, BC Summary: The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, analytical and hands-on Director of Finance and IT to direct our entire accounting function, including financial reporting, tax, and all financial transaction cycles, ensuring appropriate design and implementation of processes and controls. On the IT side, you will work closely with our outsourced IT partner firm to review corporate IT and data management strategies in support of company strategy and ensure delivery of strategies within budget and in a timely manner. As a key resource to the CFO, you will lead by example a team of professionals to ensure the highest level of integrity and compliance while seeking out opportunities to improve on current processes and procedures. In addition, you will support the CFO and senior management team on significant business development and other strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions of our Satellite division Preparing divisional monthly, and consolidated quarterly and annual financial reporting to public company standards Corporate tax, tax provisions, and transfer pricing Cash flow and treasury management Champion of the ERP Establishing and monitoring internal controls, policies and procedures Preparing financial modelling and analysis Corporate insurance policies Managing the company’s corporate IT partner and overseeing IT policies and procedures and infrastructure Chair’s the company’s risk management committee Qualifications: CPA designation required 5+ years of post-designation work experience with at least 3 years as either a Corporate Controller or Director of Finance in a manufacturing environment Experience managing a team of ~9-10 professionals Solid understanding of GAAP and strong public company reporting experience in an international, multi-currency environment Proficiency in dealing with multiple-element revenue recognition issues Strong knowledge of corporate tax, tax provisions, and transfer pricing Hands on experience in NAV and Oracle Fusion is a definite advantage At least 2 years of experience managing and supporting a corporate IT function and infrastructure Personal Attributes: Must be hands on, detail oriented and proactive Outstanding organizational, prioritizing and communication skills Adaptable personality to integrate with a diverse group of people Problem and conflict solver, alone and within a team An excellent leader Positive working attitude and high energy Ability to work in and bring structure to evolving environments Flexible hours Strong ethics and values Other Criteria: Available for occasional national and worldwide travel.
