Position Objective: Review and approve Electrical design documents and assist in the field implementation work with a specific focus on electrical works. Job description and Responsibilities Key tasks of the Civil Design Review Engineer are: Review, comment and recommend/reject Civil design and engineering documents and any other implementation documents submitted by Contractors and provide feedback and recommendations with particular focus on: Compliance of the Civil Designs to guidelines and best practices Compliance of the Civil Designs to project requirements and contractual obligation. Participate in project coordination and clarification meetings with vendors/contractors and other parties related to project progress, dependencies and discrepancies Participate to Site Surveys for new as well as expansion sites and verify suitability of the planned civil works Participate in supervision of Civil Work Contractors (shelters, towers, foundations, fencing and any other civil works) and verify compliance to approved designs and agreed work standards Review Civil designs planned Bill of Materials and verify against actual As Built quantities. To follow up various project related tasks as directed by senior staff involving coordination with vendors and contractors for civil design and any other applicable tests. To be able to make structural analysis for all tower steel members. Having enough knowledge about geo-technical problem and best related solutions. To track design progress of contractors and make sure it is within the time schedule Communicate and escalate all identified project discrepancies to proper level of authority Verify that all project tasks are properly documented, and that all project documents are filed according to agreed project procedures Assist in preparation of section related reports and presentations and in provisioning of project information to the Project Control group for incorporation in project reports Receive and perform assigned tasks as directed by the Civil Design Manager Provide CME expertise to the project team Assist the implementation team with task follow up and coordination of Civil design review activities Coordination and follow up of issues pertaining to Civil Design works Provide advice to the project team and suggest resolution to problems Attend project implementation and review meetings Qualification and Skills: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 5 years of total experience including at least 3 years with Telecom Operator or Telecom Civil Contractor / Vendor. Expert level experience in Civil related works on Telecom sites. Hands-on experience in the design review of civil engineering packages and drawings. Experience in Civil site surveys, site audit, implementation and closeout of Telecom project sites is a plus. Computer skills are a must (PowerPoint, Excel, Auto CAD). Essential soft skills: Good English communication skills (both written & spoken). Teamwork and knowledge transfer capability Experience with writing reports and preparing presentations.
