We are working with a forward thinking, innovative organisation who are looking for an experienced Tester to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of software testing covering systems integration and quality assurance, as well as working closely with other testers and development teams to ensure high standards of testing and quality product delivery. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, within a fantastic company culture. As a System Integration Test Analyst, you will be working with talented teams of front and back end practitioners, designers, developers, and QA, helping to employ best practice to test industry-leading software and systems within fast-paced, highly flexible teams - all whilst growing personally and professionally. The ideal candidate will have experience of the following; Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development Understanding of software development lifecycles and software testing principles; test plans, test cycles, and software releases Understanding of networking infrastructure Linux skills, including Bash scripting would be advantageous Desirable skills (but not essential): An interest in automation testing (using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, etc.) Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment Practice, Tools and trends A desire to deliver continuous improvement into the testing processes Understanding of safety critical systems Understanding of messaging-based architectures ISTQB/ISEB certified in Software Testing desirable In this key position within the testing team you will be responsible for a variety of the following objectives, and will be able to grow and develop your skills personally in an autonomous and supportive environment; Pre-planning and planning to identify appropriate test cases for user stories being developed during the current time box Understand how different component interact with each other in a complex software and hardware architecture Delivering Quality Assurance governance across all test phases Identification and communication of data requirements to support testing Input into requirements for test environments Creation of test plans Execution of tests in a manner that minimizes cost, time and undesirable impact Creation of automated tests where appropriate Raising of issues, defects and observations to highlight errors in the system under test Retesting defect fixes and regression testing Communication of problems and issues to the project team in a timely manner and of a quality to ensure fixes are resolved and turned around in a short space of time Production of testing guides and documentation Ability to pick up new tools and techniques quickly Identifying innovative solutions to solve complex test problem Please apply and submit your CV if this role sounds like it could be a good match for you and get in touch with me directly to discuss in more detail!
