JMT Consultants Inc. is a growing structural consulting firm that is seeking an experienced Developer to join the team and develop tools that will improve project efficiency. We require a detail-oriented individual that can accurately and efficiently develop tools using C#,. Net and utilizing the Tekla Open API to automate as much of our day to day processes, while coordinating with our team of structural/miscellaneous and concrete/rebar detailers, while reporting directly to the operations manager. For more information on the requirements of the position, visit https://developer.tekla.com/documentation/get-started-tekla-open-api Responsibilities: Use of Tekla's Open API capability (creation of plugins for custom components, creation of custom component installation packages, automated production of engineering drawings, and integration of Tekla with MS OfficE Candidate expected to manage introduction of Tekla and BIM Modeling as companywide software for design of pre-engineered metal buildings. Learn and understand our building package in order to create plug-ins and other interface components. Maximize automation and eliminate manual routines. Reduce required input/design time for creation of models, BOMs, and part & construction drawings. Test plug-ins and extensions for easy to use and predictable results. Train engineers and designers in use of Tekla and related tools. Highly competitive salary and benefits or contract position available. Candidate expected to manage introduction of Tekla and BIM Modeling as companywide software for design of pre-engineered metal buildings. Train engineers and designers in use of Tekla and related tools Qualifications: Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures Proficiency in creation of custom user interface/tools and knowledge of Tekla’s API a preference Parametric programming with Tekla's Custom Component editor Production of custom reports using Tekla Template Editor Programming in C# or Visual Basic Visual Studio Experience Proven project management and coordination skills Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance Deadline driven with an attention to detail Please reach out with any questions.
