The Streetcare Section is looking to recruit multi-functional Streetcare Operatives to work in all areas of the City. These position will be placed within the Grounds Maintenance Teams, delivering grass cutting and shrub maintenance amongst other grounds duties. They will help to transform and improve the cleanliness and environmental standards of the city to meet the aspirations of its communities. It is essential that you have experience of working in an environmental field and have experience in the use of Strimmer’s, Hedge Trimmers and other manual hand held tools. A driving license is essential. Experience in the use of ride on grass cutting machinery is advantageous albeit training will be provided. You must be able to deal with difficult situations involving members of the public. You will need to undertake duties that include bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and walking long distances.
