The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following post: Associate Portfolio Manager (Private Markets) Key Responsibilities Support the continued development of the Long-Term Growth Portfolio (“LTGP”) Analyse market dynamics and monitor various markets’ landscapes and statuses for deal sourcing and manager comparison, in particular for private equity funds, co-investments and/or direct investments Maintain and deepen the investment relationship with existing managers Monitor global and regional economic and financial market developments, and assist in assessing their implications on the LTGP’s strategy and investments Perform all tasks according to all our internal guidelines and international best practices Requirements University degree preferably in business, finance, economics or any related disciplines with strong academic results At least three years of relevant experience preferably in asset management / investment banking / accounting / management consulting industry. Knowledge of various asset classes including private equity buyout, credit, real estate and infrastructure Broad general knowledge, high versatility and flexibility, great attention to details, good logical and critical thinking, and a sharp and analytical mind. Basic accounting and financial modeling knowledge a plus Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, Putonghua an advantage Good presentation and communication skills A good team player with ability to work with others to achieve the objectives Willing to accept challenges, proactive, interested in and aspired to work in the central banking field Remuneration Package A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates, with flexibility to take account of additional experience and qualifications.
