Working Foreman required for a family owned specialist stone restoration company in commercial projects based in Birmingham. We are looking for experienced and hardworking foreman to join a project based in Birmingham city centre. Transport can be arranged or subsidised travel can be provided due to clean air zones, however making own way to site is ideal. This foreman contract will be temporary from February 2020 and will span over 5 weeks., with the potential for the role to be extended to 14weeks. The hours being 7:30-4:30, Monday-Friday and the option to work overtime at the weekends when required. Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and a bonus scheme will be in place for the right candidate. As part of your role, you would be expected to help with the daily working tasks, laying paving, mixing etc.. when not undertaking supervisory roles. This role may suit a self employed experienced ground worker / foreman. Daily responsibilities will include: Overseeing groundwork operations General groundworks Supervising a team of 2 experienced stone masons Supervising 2 labourers Operating tool Assisting with trades on site Liasing with our client at times Reporting directly into the director of the business Any other works as directed by the site team Requirements for the role A valid CSCS/CPCS card The ability to perform demanding physical manual labour Vast experience in levelling, setting out & laying large area paving projects Experience in all aspects of paving projects Experienced in setting out falls for drainage Punctual Previous experience of managing a team and a small site Previous experience of project managing groundworks in public areas Smart appearance Excellent communication skills Mature attitude towards work All PPE required will be provided.
