25 Feb '20 Logistics Estimator Logistics, Warehouse & Freight, Gauteng Centurion Monthly A Logistics Company, based in the Centurion area, requires the skills and experience of an ESTIMATOR for their Clearing and Forwarding division. Ensure effective supplier, vendor, and customer relationships are maintained Actively search for new Vendors and Agents Negotiate Rates and Service Level Agreements Meet with key suppliers on a regular basis to discuss rates, trends and SLA’s / Service Failure Identify new Trade Routes and any new service offerings according to market trends Develop customised rate comparisons and identify price risks Actively build visible relationships with key suppliers and engage in networking opportunities Build good relationships with clients and suppliers in order to obtain costing information and obtain preferential rates Ensure adequate employee management and development is maintained Supervise, coach, and mentor all Key Accounts Controllers and Co-Ordinator’s to ensure they remain up to date with market trends and product knowledge, Estimates and General Freight practices Ensure operational effectiveness is maintained Ensure that the rates supplied are at all times accurate and responded to within an acceptable time frame Ensure intelligent solutions are pro-actively supplied to areas in question, in order to effectively deal with reactive situations Critically analyse and probe quotes and reasons of lost business Maintain timely and accurate reporting Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of monthly reports, including but not limited to: New Vendors / suppliers signed up Supplier concentration averages Lost business analysis GP reports Market research Risk Analysis Increase divisional profitability Be instrumental in increasing GP within initial 6 months of appointment Requirements Must have a thorough understanding of the Clearing and Forwarding industry, including Full Supply Chain, Imports and Export process flows (non-negotiable) At least three years’ experience working as an Estimator in the International Clearing and Forwarding environment Matric Relevant qualification will be an advantage Ad Visible Until: 24 March 2020 Ref: JHB000122/CVDV Vacancy Type: Permanent
