GOTO Group are seeking an IT Support person to provide technical support within the company as well as to external clients and partners. Support coverage will encompass primarily application support to internal users but may also extend to basic laptop and server maintenance, Microsoft Office functionality and Azure Cloud infrastructure. The role will require an understanding of GOTO Group’s internal operational platform and the ability to provide support on that. This will require some familiarisation with SQL Server and general database management. An additional aspect of the role is QA and testing. The applicant will occasionally be required to provide testing resource on the GOTO Group platform. This may also encompass some automated testing where applicable. Key Skills · Windows 10 · SQL Server (T-SQL and ideally server management) · Microsoft Office (ideally Office 365), and specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint · Windows Server (pref. 2013) · Basic networking – WAN, LAN · Experience of software deployment tools (preferably MSDeploy) and deployment management Desirable Skills · Virtualisation, ideally using Microsoft Azure · Microsoft Active Directory · Experience of formal software testing As well as the technical skills outlined above, the candidate will need to be presentable and have a good telephone manner as a proportion of the support workload will likely be for external clients.
