Some of the key responsibilities for the position include: Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; Water quality assessments; Drainage design and permitting; Managing, evaluating, and summarizing monitoring data; Reviewing state and federal regulations & permits pertaining to surface water; and Preparing technical reports. Here are some other things you should know about a typical Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer or Scientist position with Geosyntec: Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, boater certification, defensive driving certification, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science (e.g., fisheries, biology, ecology etc.). (required) Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering or natural resources science (e.g., fisheries, biology, ecology etc.). (preferred) At least 1 year of research or related experience. (preferred) Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred) Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
