Job Title: Sr. Administrative Specialist Location: Washington, D.C. Job Summary and Description: Job Summary: The position will provide administrative, coordination, and event planning support to EPRI’s Energy Systems and Climate Analysis group. The position is based out of EPRI’s Washington DC office, but some travel (~10%) is required to support remote meetings and events in other EPRI offices. Provides assistance to deliver customer requests and execute deliverables. Supports leadership by gathering, monitoring, analyzing and organizing information on current and emerging science and technology as well as financial and contractual data. Plays a role in structuring and content preparation for Advisory meetings and executes many project responsibilities. Develops and implements programs and processes to maintain centralized files containing technical information (statements of work and amendments) and financial information (commitments and expenditures) Develops and maintains technical literature databases for Sector. Manage the planning, preparation and organization of technical conferences and workshops. Assist in preparation of paperwork for revenue agreements and contracts and ensure timely execution. Provide support in preparation of technical presentations and other materials for advisory meetings, external publications, conferences and workshops. Assists Project Managers by interacting with contractors and members. Establishes and maintains processes that ease the transfer of technology to members. May provide oversight and training to other Technical Assistants. Education: AA degree in a scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 3-5 years of experience in an administrative or technical support report role. Capability to handle administrative support role (word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, etc.) A general understanding of the conduct of research projects from the definition phase through to results delivery and application. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated strong ability to identify, analyze, and negotiate and problem solve. Capability of performing multiple and complex tasks with limited direction, while having the judgment to know when to ask for directions. The ideal candidate would have A degree in a science, technology, engineering, economics, or mathematics field Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities, while supporting staff located across the U.S. Working proficiency with SAP is a plus Additional Job Information: EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
