Company Overview Digital Green (DG) is a non-profit organization working with smallholder farmers across India, Bangladesh and a few countries in Africa. DG uses a ‘video-enabled’ extension approach to reach farmers with best practices, which would help them increase their yield and income. DG works through partner organizations and trains their field-level workers in both community video production and dissemination. As part of its business development efforts DG proposes to hire the services of a consultant/intern to provide support in some base level activities related to Business Development. Scope of work The consultant/intern would be required to: Develop and maintain donor database including CSR. Explore and Scope funding opportunities for DG through regular scan of donors and open calls for proposals.. Conduct secondary research for proposal development. Support in organizing content and preparation of proposals Set up meetings with potential donors, prepare for such meetings including donor profiles, presentations and other materials. Maintain and track ongoing partnerships. Support in other BD related activities as per requirement. It is expected that the consultant/intern will gather a good understanding of DG’s activities and link these to areas where it can propose projects. The consultant/intern will receive technical inputs, where needed from the DG team. S/he will also receive feedback assignment delivery. S/he will work closely and report to Dr. Namita Singh. Initially, it is estimated that up to 45 working days will be required over a period of 2 months. Base activities for promoting Business Development - Jan 2020 – March 2020 Last date to apply - 24th January 2020 Payment Terms The monthly fees payable will range between Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 50,000 depending on the skills, knowledge and experience of the consultant/intern. A month will consist of up to 22 working days. Payment will be done on a monthly basis, based on the actual number of working days. All travel arrangements outside Delhi, including boarding & lodging, if needed, would be made and borne separately by DG based on DG’s travel policy.
