Job Summary Under close supervision, assist Engineers and Engineering Technicians in completing routine, standard engineering functions. Design, review, audit, and verify new engineering drawings for accuracy, compliance, and completeness. Perform basic engineering calculations to audit work of professional engineers ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Develop Job Hazard Assessments for electrical equipment and processes creating safe working environments Responsibilities and Duties Audit previously completed engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; interact with various levels of professional engineering staff, and outside contractors, to provide entry level engineering review; Perform a variety of paraprofessional assignments supporting engineering operations and functions while focusing on safe, reliable, and economical operations of all facilitates and infrastructure. Provide quality assurance reviews on a wide-variety of engineering disciplines, make recommendations on corrective actions necessary based on thorough review of drawings, calculations, and documents Review change orders submitted for on-going projects to ensure changes do not invalidate engineering standards; assist engineering staff in the creation of project close-out and change-over documentation Update as-built documents based on change-order tracking, field inspections, and contractor documents; track workflow of all change request ensuring engineering staff have proper information needed to make informed, educated decisions on critical changes Qualifications and Skills Associates Degree in an engineering related field and/or related experience; AND three (3) years’ of sub-professional engineering, surveying, drafting, electrical, or project management experience. MS office products; GIS and AutoCAD software, tools, and applications A valid Washington State driver’s license may be required Job Type: Contract Experience: AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
