Denver International Airport is looking for a Telecommunications Project Manager to join our Business Technologies Team. In this position you can expect the following job responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee the planning and installation of the inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure supported by the DEN Business Technologies division. This infrastructure serves the entire DEN campus; providing Voice, Data and Video services to DEN City agencies, as well as business partners including airlines, concessionaires and tenant customers. Knowledge of low voltage technical standards employed at DEN and commonly used best practices, procedures and concepts, as well as stay abreast of emerging technologies that could improve current PWCS service offerings. Senior level knowledge of copper and fiber voice and data cabling technologies, as well as other low voltage cabling to include but not limited to audio, video and other computer peripheral cabling technologies is required. Use of Microsoft Office applications including Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, as well as demonstrate the technical aptitude to become proficient with in-house applications such as ServiceNow and PCR360 in order to provide professional, clear and concise documentation of PWCS services performed Performs senior level professional project management work on one or more small to large information technology projects; supports the work unit by developing and maintaining project/operational metrics and internal processes and by administering and maintaining project management software and tools. Perform thorough site surveys and provide highly accurate labor and material cost estimates against the work to be performed. Provide accurate documentation including but not limited to that of status, budgetary, reporting and other collaboration materials. Produce statements of work for the vendors to price out and bid work against and/or collaborate with engineering staff to produce these required documents. Will oversee both internal staff and vendors in the completion of inside/outside structured cabling and service delivery requests. Strong vendor coordination and people management skills are required for this position. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, while at the same time holding vendors highly accountable for work performed per specifications with all required documentation being accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Customer advocacy skills so services delivered will exceed customer expectations by performing extraordinary customer service, identifying customer needs, and providing them with top-notch voice and data cabling solutions. Align with organizational strategic objects as well as the DEN Technologies Guiding Principles of Superior Customer Service, Efficient and Repeatable Processes, and Enhanced Strategic Alignment. Other duties as assigned. About You Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Experience in Project Management, BICSI, TIA-568, ITIL curriculum, best practices and standards. Experience as a senior engineer / technician. Ability to oversee, plan and manage complex telecommunications projects. Implementation, operation and management of Commercial / Carrier grade fiber optic and copper networks, backbone, lateral builds and IT infrastructure. Experience in the design and implementation of low-voltage and telecommunication systems, equipment and components for commercial / industrial use. Structured cabling, Voice and Data systems, Access Control, Closed Circuit TV / Cameras. Data center and communication room management. Experience drafting scopes of work, budgetary estimates, design documents and implementation schedules. Experience overseeing the procurement of equipment and materials related to assigned projects. Experience managing 3rd party and subcontract providers and resources. License/Certifications: None FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required. Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
