The Infrastructure Operational Delivery Manager will lead a team in the delivery of Exchange, Cabinet, Radio Site, Edge Centre and Pole products. The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery from initial customer request, through to the design and build process, billing and ongoing customer management. The role is accountable for the delivery of business-critical infrastructure that supports requests from Chorus’ Retail Service Providers (RSP), the ‘customer’. The role is multi-faceted and requires the manager to be a confident communicator and decision maker, representing Chorus in customer engagements, dealing with customer escalations, or facilitating decisions from within the Chorus business. Equally the Manager will seek to ensure continuous development across people, process and tools. This role is based in Auckland and reports to the Manager Property Operations & Strategy. Your Background If the above sounds like something you’d be interested in, here are the qualities and skills you possess: Leadership, people management and team building skills including relationship building and managing diversity; Infrastructure management, record keeping, data management; Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of customer facing operational team/s and Service Delivery Management/Relationship Management; Delivery; knowledge and application of project management disciplines; People leadership; can demonstrate improvements in team engagement through past roles; Communications and Stakeholder Management; Can demonstrate effective communications at varying levels of organisations; An understanding of Telecommunications networks or power and building services is advantageous; Supplier and Contract management knowledge as well as an understanding of network operations; Ability to consider Legal, regulatory compliance, and risk in decision making; Commercial judgement and strong negotiation skills.
