Berkshire Healthcare Trust is a community and mental health trust, providing a wide range of services to people of all ages living in Berkshire. We are a new service which opened to clients from the 1st March 2019. We provide services for East Berkshire clients who are accessing our Talking Therapies Service which provides psychological therapies to people with common mental health problems. Do you have the skills required to work in a forward thinking Talking Therapies Team as we move forward to supporting people to find or stay in work, so that IAPT services can better meet a person’s individual employment needs and contribute to improved employment outcomes? If the answer is yes, this new Employment Advisor role could be for you. This role is part of a new and developing Employment Advice Service, working closely with clinicians that provide psychological therapies to people with common mental health problems. You will support our clients with common mental health problems to gain, return to or retain employment and will involve working directly with a range of stakeholders (e.g. DWP, Job Centre Plus, voluntary organisations, employers, trade unions and employment agencies etc.) to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities. About you: We are looking for proactive, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and supportive therapies team. If you currently work or have experience in health or social care, recruitment, employment or education services or if you have transferable skills to enable people find/retain employment; this is an excellent opportunity to join our team of Employment Advisors. You will be provided with learning and development opportunities along with appropriate support and training. There will be a requirement to undertake a short formal study programme. You will be required to travel across East Berkshire and flexibility will be an essential requirement and desirably we would welcome applicants who speak fluent additional languages especially Polish, Punjabi and Urdu.
