In this position you will join our Built Environment business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of built environment projects - from rural access roads to complex freeways, toll roads, system interchanges and water security. We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’. The candidate shall be an IES Certified Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with a minimum of 5 years experience relevant in this role and have a qualification of Recognised Civil Engineering or equivalent. The candidate must also be experienced in new building development including piling foundation, ERSS construction and monitoring, substructure construction, RC structure, precast concrete structure, and steel structures. The candidate must also be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Roles and Responsibilities: To carry out your statutory duties as site supervisor and to comply with all duties of site supervisor in accordance with Section (10) of the Building Control Act (Chapter 29) and to carry out site standing supervision and inspection of the works including any off-site fabrication and/or as instructed by the Consultant team so as ensure that works are constructed to required quality and accuracy. To monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site fabrication facility and report delays immediately and to update Consultants on Contractor’s work progress on site and identify any works on critical path. To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, materials and equipment on site, labour, day works, provisional quantities, etc. and to verify reports and claims submitted by contractor. To record all variations as instructed or approved by the consultant team. To attend to contractor’s queries and co-ordinate works of the contractor.
