Ardagh Group is looking for a new member to join our Group Legal and Compliance team. The successful candidate will ensure the ongoing success of the compliance function and provide prompt delivery of accurate legal advice in relation to compliance matters, including GDPR issues. The role is based in London. The job may require regular travel. Key Responsibilities: Work with Group Compliance Director to ensure overall compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements for the business. Provide legal advice to the business in relation to compliance matters, with a focus on GDPR matters, and to work as a team to develop and implement a compliance programme. Assisting the Group Compliance Director to promote and maintain a culture of compliance, including assisting in the implementing and ensuring continuous improvement of the Group’s Code of Conduct and the associated policies. Advise and manage the Group’s GDPR programme, including monitoring compliance with GDPR, developing and updating policies, and providing training to relevant sections of the business Coordinate the Group’s compliance with other data privacy laws, including liaising with members of Group Legal & Compliance in other jurisdictions (particularly in US and Brazil) to ensure implementation of appropriate local data privacy programmes. Desired Skills and Experience: Law degree/qualification in any European jurisdiction. Between 1-3 years of professional work experience in an international environment An interest in compliance and a capacity to adapt quickly to new fields of law/jurisdictions; Fluent in English additional language skills are a distinct plus (particularly German, Polish or Dutch) Strong intercultural competences to interact with a team of lawyers of different jurisdictions Strong communication skills to interact with commercial and operational teams. The successful candidate will be reliable, transparent, discreet, persistent, rigorous, sense of humour and can-do attitude, mobility.
