Note: This position may be filled in either Tulsa, OK (PSO) or Shreveport, LA (SWEPCO) Position Summary: Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and managing all duties related to Fleet operations for the Utility, Generation and Transmission business units. Manages the garage operations within the assigned Operating Companies (OPCOs) to ensure the business needs of the applicable business unit are met in a safe and cost effective manner. Effectively partners with managers and supervisors across assigned OPCO to align vehicle needs with construction and maintenance needs. Actively monitors fleet measures to identify corrective action that is needed to ensure Fleet and Business Unit goals are achieved. Responsible for the supervision of personnel and work activities regarding maintenance activities for assigned OPCOs., Assists, advises, and make recommendations to the Mgr Dir ? Fleet Operations in the formulation of policies, best practices and organizational effectiveness associated with the Fleet Technical Operations function. Direct all tasks associated with the operations of the Fleet garages within the assigned Operating Companies. Recommend garage staffing, enhancements and work flow processes to management. Recommend policies and procedures relating to the proper control of fleet garage functions. Direct and coordinate all functions between the fleet garages across multiple OPCOs; act as liaison between Material Services and Fleet supervisors, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering and Line Departments. Develop and implement and/or assist in the development and implementation of measurements/goals of garage operations. Monitor the results of measures and take appropriate corrective action needed to ensure that Fleet and Business Unit goals are achieved. Ensure that garage operations comply with corporate and departmental policies and procedures. Prepare and oversee applicable fleet budget and effectively utilize all available resources i.e., employees, dollars, assets, contractors and technology to become a competitive, value added service provider. Coordinates all training and development of assigned employees in a manner that aggressively migrates culture to a participative, accident free environment. Development and administer safety programs that aggressively migrates the culture ?mind set? to a norm of accident free. Actively participate in the development and administration of training programs to ensure maximum utilization of available technology and personnel and ensure that employees have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. Foster an environment that embraces diversity of thinking and participative management. Administer the Company's Job Performance Review and Merit Salary programs, Management Information and Policy Manual, Labor agreements, Employee Handbooks, and supplements related to assigned personnel. Recommend the promotion, demotion, selection, discipline, and dismissal of assigned personnel. Job Type Full-Time Relocation No Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration or related field; or Associate's degree in related field and 2 years of relevant work experience; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant work experience; Experience: In addition to any experience listed above, minimum of eight (8) years experience with Fleet Operations and business services with a focus on budget, finance and/or analysis. Previous supervisory experience is required.
